Welcome To Nevada, Mrs. Carter!


Last week the former President was in the Silver State campaigning for his son Jack Carter. This week Nevada is graced with a four day visit by former First Lady Rosalynn Carter. Here are the dates:

Monday, October 2

4:20 p.m. Ice cream social with young Democrats and senior citizens at the Pahrump Valley Senior Center, 1370 W. Basin, Pahrump.

6:00 p.m. Pahrump Jefferson-Jackson Dinner at the Pahrump Nugget Hotel, 681 South Hwy. 160, Pahrump. Speeches will be made by Senator Cleland (a decorated Vietnam veteran and triple amputee), Jack Carter, and Rosalynn Carter.

Tuesday, October 3

12 Noon Phone banking with Carter “Jack Pack” volunteers. At the campaign’s volunteer Office, 1370 E. Flamingo Rd. , Las Vegas (corner of Flamingo and Algonquin).

Wednesday, October 4

11:30 p.m. Speak to Parkinson’s Disease fall seminar, at Sierra Health Services, 2724 N. Tenaya Way , Las Vegas.

3:00 p.m. Meet with Young Democrats and students at University of Nevada , Las Vegas . 4505 Maryland Parkway , UNLV Student Union.

Thursday, October 5

9:30 a.m. “Coffee with the Carters” (Jack & Rosalynn) at Bibo’s Coffee, 680 Mount Rose Street, Reno.

11:30 a.m. Speak on mental health issues at Disability Awareness Day event, at Truckee Meadows Community College , 7000 Dandini Boulevard, Reno.

2:00 p.m. Tour and meeting with nurses at UNR Nursing Clinic, 401 W. 2nd St ., Reno .
