"Doolittle's Latest Act of Mischief"

An Opinion piece in today's Sacramento Bee asks "Why did Doolittle foil deal on Tahoe land?". They call Doolittle on saying something and doing another. He got involved in a deal between the owner of the Homewood Mountain Resort and the U.S. Forest Service. The latter wanted to buy the resort in order to prevent more development on the roughly 1,000 acres of land. But not as long as Doolittle has something to say.

One can only hope Doolittle isn't doing the work of Tahoe developers who want to buy Homewood. Possibly he is just sending a warning shot to Yurosek and his business partners. Based on a report by The Bee's David Whitney, Yurosek didn't fully involve Doolittle in negotiating key details of the transaction. His team was also slow to contribute money to the congressman's re-election campaign.

Punishing people for not contributing? All the more reason to dump Doolittle. Read the whole thing here.
