Dean Heller, Where's That Poll?

The series of tubes, as Alaska Sen. Ted Stevens likes to call them, are very nice tool before an election. There's a wealth of information to be found on the internet. For example, one can take a look at the expenditures of the DCCC, DSCC, NRCC, NRSC and many other political committees.

Chris Bowers at MyDD has started to put together a great compilation of the expenditures of the DCCC and the NRCC. Interesting to note is that the National Republican Congressional Committee seems to be very worried about its Nevada candidates. At least they're spending money in both NV-03 and in NV-02.

What grabbed my attention, though, was the fact that the NRCC commissioned a poll worth $21,000 on Heller's behalf on August 23. Surprisingly, I haven't heard about the poll, let alone the results of that poll. Must not have been too good, otherwise both the NRCC and Dean Heller would have bragged about it. There was nothing to be found on either the websites of either Dean Heller or the NRCC. I mean, it was a month ago. You should have the results by now.

Dean Heller, what happened to that poll?

Maybe the results of that poll would explain why President Bush is flying into Reno on October 2 to fundraise for Heller. Man, must these guys be in trouble.

Rumor has it that a new poll will emerge in the coming days showing Heller is in even more trouble.
