First A Grandfather, Then A Senator

Congratulations to Jack Carter and his family! Just yesterday his son Jason and his daughter-in-law Kate made him a proud grandfather and in two months time the people of Nevada can make him a proud representative from Nevada to Washington.

Details from a Carter for Nevada press release:

Break out the cigars…or at least the bubble-gum variety…it’s a boy!

Jack Carter, the Democratic candidate for United States Senate, is bursting with pride with the announcement that his first grandchild has been born. Henry Lewis Carter was born today (Saturday, September 2) to Jack’s son, Jason Carter, and daughter-in-law, Kate. Both Henry and his Mom are doing fine.

The birth is also being celebrated by former President Jimmy Carter and former First Lady Rosalynn Carter who are now great grandparents for the first time. Jack Carter is Jimmy and Rosalynn’s eldest son.
